WHY so much PVP focus in a PVE game?

Firstly......

I'm NOT a hater, but one that really don't understand about the pvp aspect, at least not in swtor.

Other than some useless ( pve useless) items you can buy for the coms you get from WZ I see no "rewards" in pvp on swtor at all.

I have had my share of the pvp here, non was very rewarding, but that is for another thread.

to me it seems tha 90% if not of the game is PVE, With the "few" WZ maps being the "only" pvp areas outside the PVP ENFORCED in game areas, y PVP enforced I mean you automatically flagg for pvp.....unfortunately in areas where you have missions....even NON PVP missions.

I checked the pvp vendor and noticed Things require valor rating to buy, fair enough you get this through pvp......again useless as you can buy the same exact items from GTN using credits ( they come for free in the game).

The pvp gir, is more or less 100% useless outside pvp.....I tried a chest plate and trew it away fter, I was better in pve using no armor at all.



Now to the "it's fun" aspect.....I can relate to it and respect it, but for the life of me I don't understand why these players that do 90-100% pvp playtime can't be on the pvp focused server.......where it would be reasonable to expect the general population to be open to pvp.....in fact IF I made a toon there O would be flagged all the time, after all the main focus of THAT server is pvp.



So what is the point in all this? Well here it is.......to me 99% NON PVPer it seems that ever time some pvper looses a fight he opts for a change of the class abilities.

I was in a furious rage on here before saying that these PVP changes F**Ks Things up for the non PVPers and that BW should implement thses changes ONLY on the pvp server......( With the added effect of a mass migration there), and everyone told me how these changes ONLY Applied to pvp.....they don't.



I remember the push ability of the consular/inqisitor.....it used to give a little edge in PVE, it is hard enough for us non Scientific 11hr a day pvp gamers......or what you Call recreational gamers.

he way the ability here....( I'm sure if I do even more Research I find several) was changed to makepvp more ballanced changed the ability 100% in pve. An abiliry that was excellent to get rid of flanking mobs, clusters etc, noe ONLY Works in a frontal Arch, not a a 360 circle like it once did.........this PVP change for one had a HUGE pve impact.



Now with all of this I don't understan why pvp is so bloddy impotant on a pve or rp server ( yes I know all 3 servers are identical pve wise)

I mean it is "almost" mandatory to pvp as it is part of the tutorial............

And this is where I found the haters that made me NEVER do pvp, t least not on swtor..............a lvl 10, fresh player ( even veteran player) most likely don't have the most awesome gir...not the super years in the making skills in pvp...yet they are thrown in there With the HATERs....yes I say this HATERS, and it is a strong Word, but complaining on a first timer, lvl 10 that dare follow the game tutorial and enter a wz where the "pros" reign isn't fun, nor is it whan they genk you and then complain,,,,,



In fact it is like this With too many, also in pve.....ops HM FPs etc...........not everyome CAN be fully geared BEFORE, nor have everyone ever played that ops/Fp before.....yet Peopleare so Nice they kick you for having a little low gir, for not being expert With a class you are Learning etc......all Things that normally would kill any fun.....

I can't Count the times I hear PUGs being called and I shrug and think of the poor newbie who will most likely be chased off the game like was from the first server I played on, now a New server and possibly a New start......hopefully the pvp issue is a bit less....abilites are still F-ed, but........it is survivable.

Hopefully when I og for my coms on the New server it is "Legal" to not have all the 180 gir "required" to get the 180gear....lol

I said " required" due to the mindset........ I had full 168, With 156 auguments............wasn't good enugh as all the other had 180 gir....I was the waek link so they ****d me...........and I made a staggering 0 ultimate comms that way.



With childish attitudes like this on pug and unfortunately also in the wz, this game has miles to og before it gets "awesome"...........still not sure if I'll quit or not......but the pvp/and gir facists here are really making their effort in making "others" quit....



I hope it wasn't hatefull as it wasn't ment to be.......just WHY pvp abpve all ese when it has NO impact on the game what so ever.......( pve side or items etc) other than possbly a title and some achievment that ........well isn't "NEEDED" so to say.....
