Sporadic disconnections with endless loading screens

Hi there,



I, like many who I have talked to in-game, occasionally get completely disconnected from the game. My internet is stable and I am just playing normally, when suddenly my latency turns red and eventually ends with disconnection and being sent to a loading screen that never seems to finish loading - it stops at the halfway mark. This seems to happen most frequently during the afternoon. In fact, this basically doesn't seem to be happening for me in the evenings. The number of times this happens to me can range anywhere from once in hours, to 2-3 times within 15 minutes. 99% of the time, I alt-f4, and sign back in without any issues. My internet is fine - never having lost connection to other online services such as steam and origin.



Last night I reached the peak of my frustration. Upon being disconnected, I tried to log back in through the launcher. However, the connection kept timing out each time I would try to log in. I wanted to sign into the www.swtor.com in order to post about my issue. I got to the swtor site just fine, but when I hit the login button, suddenly connection to the site timed out and wouldn't load. I proceeded to troubleshoot the issue as best I could. I flushed my dns, renewed my ip, deleted internet cache, restarted my computer, ran a traceroute (have the file saved if this is helpful), pinged the swtor site (timed out every time). I ended up just giving up. This morning, it seems, the issue resolved itself. While I haven't tried playing yet, I am sure the sporadic disconnections will continue.



Let me first state that I have googled and tried to solve this for a little more than a month. The solutions I have tried included those above. They also included disabling bitraider in the settings file (I found this supposed solution in another thread). I also have all my ports necessary for this game forwarded. I tried setting up DMZ server for this computer to help rule out if it indeed is my router. Didn't solve anything. I downloaded and installed pingplotter. I ran this program while playing, but I am not knowledgeable enough to understand what I am looking at. All I can see is that there is indeed 100% package loss at completely random points during play.



I am beginning to suspect this is an issue with my ISP. However, I am quite uncertain how to propose this issue to my ISP without having concrete evidence it is THEIR fault. As I said before, I know several people in my guild who expressed having the same exact issue I was having. I am on some smaller lesser-known ISP - midcontinent. I am confident that the other guildmembers are using different ISPs, and yet this issue seems to be shared by everyone.



As a side note, while googling this issue, I remember reading someone who investigated this issue found out that cisco registers this game as a virus. I have no way to confirm that theory. I am literally running out of ideas on my end - contacting my ISP is the last step I'll do, but without something concrete to show them as an issue, I doubt this will help. At this stage I am not even sure if it is indeed their problem - all my other internet services never get disrupted - although on one occasion I was losing connection to mumble at the same time that the disconnections to swtor were occurring. However, I never have any issues with playing other games online - such as on a persistent world in neverwinter nights, starcraft II, titanfall, among others.



Thoughts/suggestions? I would post the results of traceroute & pingplotter if I knew that it didn't contain any information that might expose my connection in any way.
