The 100% Uptime Crisis of 2013.

So...here it is... a couple days after the patch and we are starting to get feedback on the new Shadow/Sin tanking mechanics. From what it looks like, it's either you love it or frakking hate it. And a lot of it has to do with the ability to maintain maximum 4 stack uptime.



There's the 12 /15 /18 sec argument. That the duration should be adjusted to make maintaining stacks easier. Some people want it longer for ease vs. some that think that doing so would kill the skill cap.



The mobility / latency / physics argument. That it's impossible to max uptime because we get knocked around, have to cast other things, it's too much of a "set in stone" rotation to do it, etc.



(My favorite) The "I just want my heals back" argument. I've read a bunch of posts (mostly PvP based) saying that repeatedly standing still to try a get a full four stacks is just nonviable and therefor don't gain any benefit from it and that the heal was way better.....even though to get the full heal you had to stand in place and get all four ticks.



So...Max uptime appears to be the big issue. I personally ignore it. I just drive on... playing it as I always have. Three stacks and channel, self healing style. Now maybe that is "sub-optimal"....don't care. Never had a problem clearing content in the spikey self healing days....don't have a problem now. Yes the goal is to maximize 4 stack uptime, but I'm not gonna change my playstyle in order to be OCD about it. I can more than easily fulfill my OCD needs with my cargo bays. (They're immaculate!):D



So my question actually is....how sub optimal is NON 100% uptime?

Dipstik can you look at these two spreads below that you posted and verify that they are the correct two to be comparing, please? Or, could you provide the correct two if these are not? 100% vs. 50% uptime.
