This game's quality of PvP will never improve...

The PvP quality in this game will just keep going down and down, and the community will keep dying until there's a very few of you left.



First off, the gameplay of PvP in this game is excellent. It truly is. It's even more amazing when you're an avid Star Wars fan like myself. However, it's really disappointing BW just keeps taking things away from us and we just keep getting shafted with little PvP content being added ever 6 to 9 months.



BW never understood why Ranked WZs failed in the first place. They removed it. It's gone. They have said it could and possibly would return someday, but I honestly think that'll either be never, or it'll just be stuck on the "soon" train. Sure, the PvP community is partially responsible for the failure of Ranked WZs, but ultimately it's BW's fault for making Ranked WZs such a complete and utter failure.



I also played Arenas. As expected, they're just a DPS race that'll get tiresome really quickly and only the comps with the best CC and really those that carry Scouperative healers will win. This game launched with objective-based PvP, and now I'm forced to participate in this unbalanced PvP system? They should have separated queues for WZs 8v8 and Arenas, and have the option if you wanted to queue for one or both.



Since launch, we've only had Novare Coast and Ancient Hypergate (AH is the worst WZ hands down) being added to the WZ map rotation. The BW devs have stated already in the SDCC and GCC Tours that WPvP just isn't going to happen. We've had PvP systems taken away from us, and I feel like 8v8 WZs will just be largely ignored for the smaller and less dynamic Arenas. You'll get more Arena maps (I bet the PvP/"combat" team will be slow on those updates still), and the updates for 8v8s will stop as of the removal of Ranked WZs.



This game still has the PvP community it has right now because of the Star Wars IP, and with it being lightsabers and all. The main point I'd just like to get across is if you think BW will truly improve PvP, just let it go. It's not gonna happen. BW has never openly stated or admitted this, but this is a PvE/cash shop-based game with PvP more so as a mini-game. They really do not interact with the PvP community at all, while we realize the potential this MMO has as a competitive e-sports game and have posted petitions and tons of PvP suggestions to get them to interact with us.



If you enjoy the game, then I'll respect that. Just try to be a smart consumer. IMO BioWare does NOT deserve sub money due to their incompetence and ignorance with PvP. If you believe otherwise, well it's your money.



It's just depressing that this game could greatly and better cater to PvP'ers, especially to the hardcore ones, but it's not going to happen when BW does not care about us and doesn't really focus on the potential. Just look at the lack of dev posts on our forum. Even the PvE forum gets more responses than we do. :rolleyes: But... it's not like I should be surprised.



Ranked Warzones could have worked out a lot better if BW did actually focus on trying to get them to work, and interacting with us to try and improve the system. They openly admitted to not really being focused on them at all, which is just really pathetic. We need more focus and development on bigger and better PvP systems than just trying to go the casual route (Arenas) and avoid the rest of PvP altogether. We also need expedited class balancing to get Arenas to work better.



Good luck to those of you who will continue to endure BW's incompetence and ignorance. It can only go so far that the IP just doesn't matter anymore and their wrong choices further kill the PvP community. May the Force be with you all.

I kind of needed to vent, but I felt like this needed to be said as the sub on my main account runs out tomorrow. I'm officially quitting SWTOR indefinitely as of this point. I also apologize if I was all over the place, but I tried to be brief as I know you guys probably heard all of this before.
